Lanark County United Way looking to increase Board of Directors membership Currently the United Way Board is looking to fill board positions with people from Lanark County/Smiths Falls who have had previous experience with not-for-profit community based volunteer Boards of Directors.
We are looking for individuals that are community minded and believe that the success of a community depends on the people who live in it. The role of the Board of Directors is to:
govern the affairs of the organization
carry out the mission and the vision of the organization
participate on committees to ensure that goals are met
bring skills, knowledge and expertise to the board
Previous experience on a not-for-profit board would be an asset but not a necessity. You must be 18 years of age.
